Rockstar had included multiple UFO encounters in the game — one appears above the mountain at 3 AM in fog — along with alien-themed graffiti in locations that seemed to form a grid pattern. In 2017, a Rockstar developer confirmed via a now-deleted social media post that the mystery was not fully resolvable in GTA V’s base game and pointed toward future content. The mystery remains officially unsolved.
